Glossary
Every term you'll meet on a plan, a statement or a status — defined the way the platform actually uses it.
- Available balance
- Money in your wallet that isn't invested or reserved. It's the only part you can invest or withdraw. Learn more
- Deposit reference
- The reference, receipt number or transaction hash that identifies your transfer. Keep it until the deposit is approved. Learn more
- Dual approval
- Withdrawals at or above a set threshold need two different administrators to approve them before they're sent. Learn more
- Gross return
- The return a plan produces on your principal before the management fee is taken off. Learn more
- Invested balance
- Principal currently committed to active investments. It returns to your wallet according to each plan's terms. Learn more
- Ledger
- The double-entry record behind every balance. Balances are calculated from ledger entries, never typed in. Learn more
- Management fee
- A percentage of the gross return, shown on each plan. It is taken from the return, not from your principal. Learn more
- Maturity
- The point at which a plan's term ends and the contract settles according to its published terms. Learn more
- Maturity date
- The date your investment's term ends, fixed when you confirm and shown on the investment record. Learn more
- Minimum and maximum
- The smallest and largest amount a plan accepts for a single investment, in the plan's currency. Learn more
- Net return
- Gross return minus the management fee. This is what's added to your principal at maturity. Learn more
- Network (crypto)
- The blockchain a transfer travels on. The same asset can exist on several networks; sending on the wrong one can lose the funds. Learn more
- Payout
- Principal plus net return — the amount a plan settles at maturity. Learn more
- Payout destination
- A bank account or wallet you've saved for withdrawals. Changes to destinations are a sensitive action. Learn more
- Plan version
- A published snapshot of a plan's terms. When you invest, the version you accepted is recorded, so later edits don't change your contract. Learn more
- Principal
- The amount you invest in a plan. Learn more
- Published plan
- A plan an administrator has made available. The public plan list reads directly from these published versions. Learn more
- Reference data
- Third-party market prices shown for context. They never change the terms or calculations of a plan. Learn more
- Reserved balance
- Money set aside for a pending withdrawal. It's released back to your available balance if the request is rejected or cancelled. Learn more
- Return method
- How a plan's return is defined — for example a percentage of principal or a fixed amount. Learn more
- Risk label
- Low, moderate or high — the administrator's published risk rating for a plan. Every plan carries risk to capital. Learn more
- Sign-in alert
- An email sent after a successful sign-in, so you can spot access you don't recognise. Learn more
- Statement
- A downloadable record of your account activity for a period. Learn more
- Term
- How long a plan runs, from confirmation to maturity. Learn more
- Transaction hash
- The unique ID of a crypto transfer on its network. It proves a transfer was sent and lets it be traced. Learn more
- Two-step verification
- A second code, from an authenticator app, required for sign-in or sensitive actions in addition to your password. Learn more
- Under review
- A person is checking a deposit or withdrawal. Nothing is credited or sent until the review finishes. Learn more
